When we bought this mirror it was in many small pieces. However the ‘foxed’ glass was intact. Victor carefully attached each section of the carved wood back together to form the beautiful oval frame. Much of the gilding had worn off the carving so using a red gold 22 carat leaf, Victor re-gilded the frame, careful not to over do it! We did not want to loose the ‘timeworn’ look of this ornate piece which would have had centuries of polishing. The result was a stunning mirror over one meter high. It sold almost immediately!

So if anyone has a picture frame or mirror that they need restoring please ask Victor..he is beyond skilled.
